Asia Polyols, Isocyanates: PMDI, TDI fall while slabstock polyol remains stable / Domestic prices stable to lower across markets / India imports rise 47% YOY for TDI in March / Slabstock polyol stable amid shortages

Asian polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate and toluene diisocyanate were down, while slabstock polyol remained stable in the week to May 22. CFR India polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate down $401/metric ton at $2,599/mt on May 22, below the lowest corroborated offer heard at $2,600/mt. Separately, the offer at $2,500/mt and selling indication in the range of $2,500-$2,600/mt were not considered as they couldn’t be corroborated with the wider market. India domestic prices were at Rupees 265-300/kg, compared with Rupees 270-330/kg in the previous week. Upstream, the Asian benzene FOB Korea marker at $1,049/mt May 22, down $13/mt week over week.
