Asian orthoxylene prices declined in the week ending May 22, tracking broader falls across the aromatics complex and subdued demand, despite ongoing supply tightness. Bids on the FOB Korea basis raised from $1,280/mt to $1,301/ mt during the trade session May 22, for a 3,000 mt cargo to be loaded in H2 June, while tradable indications on the FOB China basis were heard below $1,240/mt. Offers to India were heard in the range of $1,320-$1,350/mt CFR India, though no trade was heard concluded as buyers turn to a wait-and-see mode amid the downtrend across aromatics products.
