Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical has taken off stream its Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Bayin. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have halted operations at the unit for maintenance around September 18, 2025. However, details regarding the duration of the shutdown remain unavailable, and the information could not be verified with an official source.” Located at Bayin, China, the PTA unit has a production capacity of 1.2 million mt/year.
