US West Coast Light End Daily Commentary / CA gasoline differentials end day mixed / Portland suboctane rises 4 cents/gal / Gulf Coast originates 75% Jones Act waivers

In California, gasoline differentials for the West Coast ended the day mixed on Aug. 11. the differential for Los Angeles and San Francisco CARBOB at NYMEX September RBOB futures plus 20 cents/ gallon, down 10 cents and 6 cents, respectively, amid lower trades heard done for both products. Further north, the differential for Portland suboctane at NYMEX September RBOB futures plus 10 cents/gal, up 4 cents from the last close, amid higher trades done throughout the day. The US Gulf Coast has accounted for nearly threequarters of domestic cargo movements granted Jones Act waivers since the program began on March 17, according to the latest analysis of US Maritime Administration data.
