Indian acetic acid prices continued to rally in the week to Sept. 24 as limited product availability and a surge in feedstock methanol cost continued to support global spot discussions. CFR India discussions rose week over week, with offers for October-loading cargoes heard further higher in the $730-$750/ metric ton range on Sept. 24 as sellers revised their offers higher to reflect a sharp rise in FOB China prices and tight regional supply. Several buyers remained sidelined and preferred to postpone purchases, waiting for more clarity on the near-term price trajectory.
