Sino-British Petrochemical starts maintenance at HDPE unit

Sino-British Petrochemical has taken off stream its High-density polyethylene (HDPE) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is reported to have halted operations at the unit around September 5, 2025, for maintenance. The unit is expected to remain offline until November 2025, although no official confirmation has been issued.” Located in Tianjin, China, the HDPE plant has a production capacity of 500,000 mt/year.
