Shanghai Huayi Chemical is likely to undertake a planned shutdown at its Ethyl acetate (etac) plant in Wuwei. A source in China informed that, “The company is expected to undertake a maintenance turnaround at the plant in the second half of October 2025. However, details regarding the duration of the shutdown remain unavailable, and verification from an authorized source could not be obtained.” Located at Wuwei, Anhui in China, the etac plant has a production capacity of 200,000 mt/year.
