PetroChina Tarim starts maintenance at LLDPE/HDPE unit

PetroChina Tarim has halted production at its Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)/High density polyethylene (HDPE) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have taken off stream its unit in early September 2025 for maintenance. Details regarding the duration of the shutdown remain unclear, and official confirmation could not be independently verified.” Located in Xinjiang, China, the unit has a production capacity of 300,000 mt/year.
