Monoethylene glycol CFR China as stable day over day and up $30/metric ton week over week at $795/mt Sept. 25, as the China market observed the Mid-Autumn public holiday. The domestic China assessment held steady at 6,905 yuan/mt ex-tank over the same period. The prior session Sept. 24 had seen CFR China surge $70/mt day over day to $795/mt, supported by H1 October discussions between $790/mt and $800/mt, while the EG2610 futures contract closed Yuan 235/mt higher at 5,876 yuan/mt, compared with 5,641 yuan/mt the previous session. In data news, China imported 117,449 mt of MEG in August, down 55.8% month over month from 265,447 mt in July, according to China’s customs data released Sept. 20.
