Mitsui Chemicals has taken off stream one of its Ethylene propylene diene-monomer (EPDM) units in Ichihara. A source in Japan informed a team member, “Operations at the unit were halted on September 24, 2025, for maintenance. The duration of the shutdown remains unclear, as an authorized source was unavailable for confirmation.” Located in Ichihara, Japan, the No. 2 unit has a production capacity of 75,000 mt/year.
