Shenghong Refining to halt production at MEG unit

Shenghong Refining and Chemical is in plans to take off stream its Monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to shut down the unit in end September or early October 2025 for maintenance. The duration of the shutdown has not been disclosed, and verification from an authorized source was not available.” Located in Lianyungang, Jiangsu in China, the MEG unit has a production capacity of 900,000 mt/year.
