LG Chem mulls maintenance at NBR unit

LG Chem is in plans to take off stream its acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) unit in Daesan. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is expected to take the unit off stream for maintenance in the second half of October 2025, with operations expected to remain offline until November 2025. However, the exact dates and duration of the shutdown have not been confirmed, and official verification is still pending.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the unit has a production capacity of 55,000 mt/year.
