The Indian styrene monomer market was stable in the week to Sept. 25 amid thin trade activity. the weekly styrene monomer CFR India marker up $41/metric ton from the last assessment at $1,475/mt on Sept. 25, under an offer heard at $1,500/mt CFR India. The premium to CFR China was stable week over week at $144/mt on Sept. 25, under the lowest corroborated offer level heard at CFR China plus $160/mt and above tradable indications at CFR China plus $140/mt received from buyers. Spot discussions remained thin during the week amid US-Iran tensions. Sellers cited similar offers for China-origin material compared with last week. Offers were heard at $1,500/mt CFR India levels.
