India Recycled PE: Feedstock shortage pushes prices higher / White, natural grade prices increase / Virgin blow-molding rises to $1,300/mt

Recycled high-density polyethylene prices increased in the week to Sept. 23 amid low feedstock supply. rHDPE non-food-grade black color deodorized pellets with a melt flow index between 0.3 and 0.7, when tested at a sample size of 2.16 kg, at 99.50 Indian rupees/kg, up 0.50 rupees/kg week over week, under the lowest offer heard at 100 rupees/kg amid a feedstock shortage and stronger virgin prices. A trader said that “acute tightness” in rHDPE feedstock has supported a price increase, especially in the white and natural color shades, while some traders saw marginally larger increases.
