Hengli Petrochemical resumes production at No.2 PTA unit

Hengli Petrochemical has restarted its No.2 Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Huizhou. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have resumed operations at the unit around September 9, 2025, following an unplanned outage. The unit was shut around August 23, 2025, due to technical issues. However, this information could not be confirmed with an authorized source.” Located in Huizhou, China, the No. 2 PTA unit has a production capacity of 2.5 million mt/year.
