SK Advanced to operate PDH unit at lower rates

SK Advanced will be running its propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit at curtailed capacity levels. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is expected to operate the unit at around 90–95% of capacity through September 2025. The reason for the reduced operating rates could not be determined, and an official confirmation was not available at the time of reporting.” Located in Ulsan, South Korea, the PDH unit has a propylene production capacity of 600,000 mt/year.
