Hanwha Solutions is likely to shut down its oxo-alcohols plant in Yeosu. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the plant in November 2026 for a maintenance turnaround. However, the exact date and duration of the shutdown have not been confirmed, and verification from an official source is not yet available.” Located in Yeosu, South Korea, the oxo-alcohols plant has an N-butanol (NBA) production capacity of 10,000 mt/year, isobutanol (IBA) production capacity of 5,000 mt/year, and 2-ethyl hexanol (2-EH) production capacity of 125,000 mt/year.
