Handsome Chemical to resume production at Acetic acid plant

Handsome Chemical Group is likely to bring on stream its acetic acid plant in Jingmen. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to resume operations at the plant this week, following a maintenance shutdown that began on September 4, 2025. However, this information could not be confirmed with an authorized source.” Located in Jingmen, Hubei in China, the acetic acid plant has a production capacity of 600,000 mt/year.
