Formosa Plastics mulls turnaround at ACN unit

Formosa Plastics Corporation (FPC) is likely to shut down its Acrylonitrile (ACN) unit in Mailiao. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is in plans to undertake a maintenance turnaround during July–August 2026 at the unit. However, the exact date and duration of the shutdown have not yet been confirmed by an official source.” Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, the ACN unit has a production capacity of 280,000 mt/year.
