Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corp (FCFC) is likely to shut down its No.2 Paraxylene (PX) unit in Mailiao. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is expected to shut the unit in October 2025 for maintenance. However, the exact date and duration of the shutdown remain unconfirmed.” Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, the No.2 PX unit has a production capacity of 700,000 mt/year.
