European benzene spot pricing dropped on Aug. 15, as discussions surrounding unconfirmed supply issues eased and activity slowed on the close of the working week. Underlying weakness in demand remained the dominant pressure on the benzene market, as concerns about potential slight constraints on supply eased on Aug. 14. Consequently, prices eroded from the gains observed the previous day. benzene for delivery five to 30 days forward at $719/mt CIF ARA on Aug. 15, down $15/mt day over day, based on a flat structure between August and September.
