LG Chem is likely to undertake a planned shutdown at its Polybutadiene rubber (PBR) unit in Daesan. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is in plans to shut the unit in the second half of October 2025 for maintenance, with operations expected to remain offline until November 2025. However, the exact dates and duration of the shutdown have not been confirmed, and official verification is still pending.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the two units have a production capacity of 180,000 mt/year.
