CPCL commences turnaround at Manali refinery; regional supply to be affected

State-owned Indian refiner CPCL has commenced a scheduled turnaround at its refinery in Tamil Nadu, South India. Operations are likely to recommence on October 8, with work on the crude distillation unit (CDU) likely to be carried out over the next 3 weeks. It is expected that southern Indian states are likely to experience a shortage of oil product supplies owing to the shutdown. Located in the Manali industrial area of North Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the refinery has a crude processing capacity of 210,000 barrels per day (bpd).
