Asian recycled HDPE prices remained stable in the week ended Sept. 23, amid ample supply and limited movement in virgin HDPE prices. Asian recycled HDPE natural film pellets at $910/metric ton FOB Southeast Asia, unchanged week over week. Recycled HDPE black blow- molding pellets were also assessed at $555/mt FOB Southeast Asia, unchanged over the same period. A Hong Kong-based recycler said order inquiries and transaction volumes increased by approximately 10%-30% during the week. However, the recycler added that “prices cannot rise as there is still a lot of supply in the market.” China’s polyethylene scrap export data offered a mixed supply signal.
