CFR Northeast Asia ethylene as stable from the previous close and down $10/metric ton week over week at $1,190/mt Sept. 25, as the China market observed the Mid- Autumn public holiday, leaving discussions thin and activity subdued. Selling ideas for October were heard at $1,220/mt CFR Northeast Asia and $1,210/mt FOB Korea from a Northeast Asian producer, citing a partial rebound in upstream naphtha values as justification for maintaining firm indications. A Chinese buyer was heard to have received an offer at a $40/ mt premium to benchmark for October-November arrival but declined, seeking lower levels.
