Asian acetic acid and vinyl acetate monomer prices extended their multi-week rally in the week to Sept. 24, underpinned by persistent tight supply and accelerating feedstock cost inflation. The latest price moves build on a sustained uptrend in place since early September. Spot availability of October-loading AA cargoes remained tight, with limited volumes heard in the market and few sellers willing to offer aggressively. This scarcity dynamic continued to reinforce bullish sentiment across the region. CFR Far East Asia AA at $725/metric ton and CFR Southeast Asia AA at $715/mt on Sept. 24, both up $60/mt week over week.
