The Asia-Pacific regional complex saw increased market activity, driven by the continued emergence of October-loading crude and condensate barrels. In the regional condensate complex, initial loading programs for Australia’s Ichthys Field condensates surfaced, as three cargoes have been scheduled to load over Sept. 30-Oct. 4, Oct. 12-16 and Oct. 28-Nov. 1, respectively, with Japan’s Inpex set to be the sole holder, several trade sources noted. The second-month gasoline and naphtha swap cracks against Dubai crude swaps averaged $20.62/b and $2.18/b, respectively, as of the Aug. 7 Asian close, compared to July averages of $22.82/b and $5.47/b. In the medium sweet crude complex, initial loading program details surfaced for Malaysia’s flagship Kimanis crude as the October-loading trade cycle is set to see five 600,000-barrel cargoes scheduled, several trade sources said.
