Amsty resumes production at PS plants

Americas Styrenics (Amsty) has restarted its General-Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) plants. A source in the US informed a team member, “The company has resumed operations at the plants in mid-August 2025 following a turnaround. The plants were shut for maintenance in end April 2025.” Located in Marietta, Ohio in the US, the GPPS plant has a production capacity of 270,000 mt/year and HIPS plant has a production capacity of 150,000 mt/year.
