Guangxi Huayi Energy Chemical is likely to shut down its No.2 acetic acid plant in Qinzhou. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is likely to halt operations at the plant in the second half of September 2025 for maintenance. However, details regarding the duration of the shutdown remain unclear. Attempts to obtain confirmation from an authorized source were unsuccessful.” Located in Qinzhou, Guangxi in China, the No.2 plant has production capacity of 700,000 mt/year.
