Orlen Unipetrol likely to resume operations at cracker

Orlen Unipetrol is set to restart its cracker in Litvinov. A source in Czech Republic informed a team member, “The company is heard to have initiated the restart process at the cracker earlier this week. The unit was shut around August 12, 2025, due to technical issues. However, an official confirmation from the concerned authority was not available.” Located in Litvinov, Czech Republic, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 585,000 mt/year and propylene production capacity of 320,000 mt/year.
