Zagros Petrochemical brings No.2 methanol unit onstream

Zagros Petrochemical Company (ZPC) has restarted its No.2 methanol unit. A source in Iran informed a team member, “The company has resumed operations at the plant this week, following an unplanned outage. The plant was shut down around December 16, 2025, owing to shortage of natural gas.” Located in Asaluyeh, Iran, the No.2 methanol plant has a production capacity of 1.65 million mt/year.
