Yisheng Petrochemical has declared a force majeure (FM) on supplies of Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) from its units in Yangpu and Dalian. A source in China informed a team member, “The company declared the FM around March 9, 2026, due to supply disruptions caused by ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Further details on the duration of the FM could not be ascertained.” Located in Yangpu and Dalian, China, the PET units have a combined production capacity of 5.45 million mt/year.
