West African refined products markets saw mixed movements in flat pricing on Sept. 9, driven by erratic conditions across the global oil complex and consistent demand for products in the region. Gasoline demand remained resilient, with supplyside constraints providing the main support to the market, yet flat pricing fell in the region amidst drops in values in the adjacent European Eurobob swap market, as the market continued to reckon with tighter availability. By contrast, in middle distillates, prompt ICE low sulfur gasoil futures rose, while the front- month jet CIF NWE cargo swap differential to ICE LSGO strengthened, driving flat pricing in both markets higher in West Africa and exacerbating sentiment in the sector in responses to global supply concerns and geopolitical pressure.
