Wanhua Chemical lowers run rates at EDC unit

Wanhua Chemical (Fujian) has cut run rates at its Ethylene dichloride (EDC) unit in Yeosu. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have been operating the plant at reduced rates since mid-September, 2025. The reason for the production cut could not be determined, and an authorized source was unavailable for confirmation.” Located in Fuqing, China, the unit has a production capacity of 1.47 million mt/year.
