Ube Industries is likely to undertake a planned shutdown at its Polybutadiene rubber (PBR) plant. A source in Japan informed a team member, “The plant is tentatively scheduled to undergo a turnaround in the second half of February 2026. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Chiba, Japan, the plant has a production capacity of 126,000 mt/year.
