TPCC to halt production at solvents unit

Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corp (TPCC) is in plans to shut down its phenol/acetone unit in Kaohsiung. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the unit from November 2025 for maintenance. The exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the unit has a phenol production capacity of 360,000 mt/year and acetone production capacity of 220,000 mt/year.
