TPC Group resumes production at BD plant

TPC Group has initiated the restart process at its butadiene (BD) plant in Houston, Texas. A Polymerupdate source in the US informed a team member, “The restart process has been commenced at the plant around September 2, 2025, following a shutdown on August 31, 2025, due to a power outage caused by inclement weather conditions. However, this information could not be independently confirmed with an official source.” Located in Houston, Texas in the US, the plant has a production capacity of 508,000 mt/year.
