Asian Toluene: FOB Korea market sees thin trading activity / SE Asia demand to pick up in Oct, prices likely to firm / China’s July toluene exports up 48% MOM at 66,194 mt

Asian toluene prices were higher day over day Aug. 22, with the FOB Korea marker at $693.50/mt, up $2/mt from the previous close, while the FOB China marker was up $1/mt day over day at $695/mt. Trading activity was thin, with no bids or offers heard during the Market on Close assessment process. the FOB Korea second-half September laycan at $695/mt, maintaining the intraday H1 September/ H2 September spread at plus $8/mt, and in line with a tradable indication heard at below $10/mt. the FOB Korea first-half October laycan at $692/mt, maintaining the intraday H2 September/H1 October intermonth spread at plus $3/mt.
