Sinopec Zhongyuan takes LLDPE and PP units off stream

Sinopec Zhongyuan Petrochemical has shut its Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and polypropylene (PP) units in Puyang. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have halted operations at the units around October 27, 2025 for maintenance. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Puyang, China, the LLDPE and PP units have production capacities of 290,000 mt/year and 175,000 mt/year respectively.
