Sinopec Sichuan Vinylon halts operations at VAM plant

Sinopec Sichuan Vinylon has taken its Vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant off stream. A source in China informed a team member, “The company has shut the plant at the end of December 2025 for maintenance. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Chongqing, Sichuan province of China, the plant has a production capacity of 500,000 mt/year.
