Sinopec Qilu halts production at LDPE unit

Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical has reportedly shut down its Low density polyethylene (LDPE) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have taken the plant off stream around October 10, 2025 for maintenance. The unit is slated to remain offline for around one week.” Located in Zibo, Shandong in China, the LDPE unit has a production capacity of 140,000 mt/year.
