Sinopec Guangzhou Petrochemical is likely to shut down its No.2 and No. 4 Polypropylene (PP) units. A source in China informed a team member, “The company has scheduled a maintenance shutdown of the units in Quarter 4, 2025. However, the exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained, and confirmation from an authorized source is still pending.” Located in Guangzhou, Guangdong in China, the No. 2 PP unit has a production capacity of 50,000 mt/year and No. 4 PP unit has a production capacity of 200,000 mt/year.
