Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical is likely to halt production at its No.2 Low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant in Guangdong. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have scheduled a maintenance turnaround at the plant starting from October 31, 2025, with operations expected to resume on December 18, 2025. Verification from an authorized source could not be obtained.” Located in Guangdong, China, the No.2 LDPE plant has a production capacity of 280,000 mt/year.
