Sinopec shuts HDPE plant for maintenance

Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical has shut down its High density polyethylene (HDPE) plant early this week. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have halted operations at the plant around November 17, 2025 for brief maintenance work. The plant is likely to restart by this weekend.” Located in China, the HDPE plant has a production capacity of 500,000 mt/year.
