Sinopec Hainan to start maintenance at BD plant

Sinopec Hainan Petrochemical is planning to shut down its Butadiene (BD) plant. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the plant by the end of January 2026 for maintenance. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Yangpu, Hainan province of China, the BD plant has a production capacity of 110,000 mt/year.
