Sinopec Guangzhou eyes maintenance at LLDPE unit

Sinopec Guangzhou Petrochemical is in plans to take off-stream its linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the unit for maintenance in the fourth quarter of 2025. However, the exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be confirmed, and no official or authorized confirmation was available.” Located in Guangzhou, China, the LLDPE unit has a production capacity of 220,000 mt/year.
