Sinochem Quanzhou to take PX plant off stream

Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical is in plans to shut down its Paraxylene (PX) plant. A source in China informed that, “The company is expected to shut the plant by early December 2025 for maintenance. However, the duration of the outage remains unclear, and confirmation from an authorized source has not yet been obtained.” Located in Quanzhou, China, at the plant has a production capacity of 800,000 mt/year.
