Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical has shut down its High density polyethylene (HDPE) plant. A source in China informed a team member, “The company has halted operations at the plant around February 9, 2026, for maintenance. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Quanzhou, Fujian province of China, the HDPE plant has a production capacity of 400,000 mt/year.
