Shanghai Huayi resumes production at acetic acid plant

Shanghai Huayi Chemical has brought on stream its acetic acid plant in Anhui. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have resumed operations at its plant around September 4, 2025. The plant was shut around August 30, 2025 for maintenance work. However, an official confirmation from the concerned authority was not available.” Located in Wuwei, Anhui in China, the acetic acid plant has a production capacity of 500,000 mt/year.
