Qingdao Haiwan Group lowers run rates at BPA unit

Qingdao Haiwan Group is presently running its Bisphenol A (BPA) unit at curtailed capacity levels. A source in China informed a team member, “The plant has been operational at lower rates since early January 2026. The reason behind the production cut could not be ascertained.” Located in Qingdao, Shandong province of China, the unit has a production capacity of 240,000 mt/year.
